How I work
My way of working is primarily client led, focusing on the individual and their specific needs. I have experience in both long-term therapy and short-term therapy. My work is based on both psychodynamic and person-centred approaches, where the emphasis is on the individual and the working relationship between the therapist and the client.
My interest in relationships has led me to be trained with Relate as a Relational Counsellor.
My focus is to create a safe place for you to explore whatever it is that is on your mind. Counselling can help us understand ourselves better and the choices we make. By connecting our past to our present, we can begin making sense of where we are in life, allowing us to make changes for our future.
I offer a confidential, safe and non-judgmental environment to ensure that our working relationship can grow and develop, so that we can work together on the difficulties you face, helping you work towards personal growth.
Who I work with
I offer face to face counselling for adults in private practice and Employee Assistance Programmes. I am a qualified Couple Counsellor working with couples and individuals through any relationship difficulties they are facing.Having worked for many years in several community settings, I have a wide range of experience working with different issues such as anxiety, depression, self-worth, relationship difficulties, bereavement, sexual abuse, trauma and more.
Whatever difficulty you are facing in your life, I feel confident that I can offer you a safe space where we can help you work towards a more positive future.
